Corporate Comedy Shows

Do your employees get as excited about training as much as a kid does about homework?  Ready to try something different?

ImprovED’s corporate comedy shows are one-of-a-kind, interactive events that dive deep into to your organization’s specific needs and current challenges, allowing humor to gain buy-in from employees and soften the potential blow of new corporate initiatives, transitions, or product launches.

After interviewing company stakeholders, the shows are carefully crafted to add some humor, creativity, and interactivity to your corporate event. We work closely with you to design the performance so that all aspects of it align with your message. We also take special care to navigate any sensitive issues or obstacles that may be present or arise in the process.

Our comedy provides an outside look at your needs – a fun, fresh perspective that will help your message get across and be remembered. Your employees will be talking about the show long after the event!

Some Specific Examples

  1. A major pharmaceutical company hired us to create a performance that would help gain buy-in for their adoption of 5S Lean, an initiative to be cleaner and more organized. We created humorous videos poking fun at the process, conducted a live interview with the department head, used improv to address 5S situations, and delivered a serious talk about change management. To close the event, employees sang an original song about 5S, to the tune of “God Save the King” which united company employees not only in the US but also from the UK who attended virtually.
  1. GSK, another pharmaceutical company, hired us to help with their transition to an open floor plan. Using photos of the office, we created a slideshow to highlight the embedded humor in the entire process, comparing their facility to the luxurious offices of Google. We also created a parody drug commercial for “Acceptitol, a new drug to help with “Open Floor Planatitis.” The show culminated in an interview with the site director and a review of his office, complete with embellished, incriminating, photos. The site director’s willingness to play along, and “take some heat,” built rapport with staff.  See highlights here: https://youtu.be/Hx_BH9zTNts
  1. We were hired to present at the Project Managers International conference for 800 project managers. Is there anything funny in project management? After turning things upside down, and a series of preparatory interviews with actual Project Managers, we found the humor and used it to develop a successful event. We created a funny slideshow with doctored photos and accompanying stand-up comedy, discovering what’s funny about being a Project Manager. See highlights here: https://youtu.be/3-f4rRpRnZM
