WHY IMPROV?

Improvisational theater has been around a long time and requires participants to think on their feet, interact and solve a “scene problem.” These skills transfer to the corporate world where employees must interact, listen and adapt to challenges within the company or from the external environment.

We help people develop and carry a tool bag of improv skills to address common challenges.

Some of the tools include:

One on One Training

For the person who wants to challenge him or herself in a one-to-one environment where learning is rapid. Training can involve how to think on your feet, lighten up, and deal with the unexpected, as well as how to strengthen your sense of humor. This option is perfect for the person who gets nervous when speaking or wants to learn how to leverage their sense of humor.

About Al

COM,Edi,An

I live for spontaneity. Magic happens when we’re spontaneous. Ideas fly, energy is transmitted, and we’re engaged in living. So much of corporate life is not spontaneous and that’s why I want to “improv” that environment. When people think spontaneously, they’re challenging themselves to be the best human possible. What’s even better, is that great ideas come from spontaneity.

I have Underdog Energy. My favorite movies often revolve around an underdog overcoming overwhelming obstacles, using whatever skills they have. Improv is like that. What do I have to work with right now.  In workshops, finding the underdog and trying to make their experience positive is always a goal.

Improv is also important because it teaches acceptance and recovery from failure. Sometimes what we want is just out of reach. Reach again!!!  When things aren’t going well you have to improvise, innovate ,and make a change to move forward. Improv helps us to not absorb negative energy.  It’s a data driven world but data is driven by the people. Let’s not forget to interact with each other as positively as possible. The world is complex and fast moving requiring adaptability.

Helping people have fun, become more adaptable and be in the moment is my goal. When teaching others, I’m at my happiest.
